Weather by month
Yosemite Valley
California
A mountain park with a soaking, snowbound winter and a bone-dry summer, where the waterfalls run on a schedule the snowpack sets.
The best time to come
Late May and June are when the waterfalls are at full roar and the high country is just opening — the trade is the heaviest crowds of the year and a Valley parking lot that fills by nine. September gives you the same warm days with the falls reduced to a trickle and the park back to a reasonable size.
