Weather by month
South Padre Island
Texas
A long thin sandbar where the Gulf sets the thermostat, so winter barely lands and summer starts early and refuses to leave.
The best time to come
Late April through May is the sweet spot: the water has warmed up and spring break has cleared out, though the wind is still very much a factor. October and November run a close second, swimmable and calm and quiet, with October asking for the occasional glance at the tropics.
