Weather by month
Salt Lake City
Utah
A dry desert valley that bakes through summer, sits under a lid of haze in winter, and keeps some of the best snow in the country a short drive up the canyon.
The best time to come
May, September, and October are the comfortable months — warm, dry, and the canyons at their best. Ski season runs January through March and is why a lot of people come at all; just know the valley floor spends those weeks under haze while the resorts sit above it in sunshine.
