Weather by month
Hilo
Hawaii
One of the wettest towns in the country and one of the greenest — the rain here is warm, frequent, and completely beside the point once you adjust to it.
The best time to come
May and June are the least-wet months and your best chance of actually seeing Mauna Kea instead of imagining it. Come in April instead if Merrie Monarch is the draw — you'll get the hula and the rain in equal measure, and nobody minds.
