What June feels like
Up here it is lovely; a few thousand feet down it is another climate entirely, and rangers pull people off the Bright Angel switchbacks every summer who thought the descent was the hard part. Down is optional, up is mandatory — that is the park's own line, and it is the truest thing written on any sign here. The Star Party sets up telescopes on both rims mid-month, and the sky over the canyon earns a late night.
Real rain shows up maybe one day all month; the rest stay dry. about 5 afternoons top 90°.
