Weather by month
Denali National Park
Alaska
A park that runs on a short, bright summer — most of the year the road is closed, the buildings are shuttered, and the weather has the place to itself.
The best time to come
June through August is the season, full stop — that's when the buses run, the lodges are open, and the light lasts all evening. Early September is the sleeper if you can catch it: gold tundra, no bugs, and fresh snow on the high country.
